Tulio Capriles Mendoza, the Venezuelan businessman, persecuted for drug trafficking


Drug trafficking activities have persecuted Tulio Capriles Mendoza for thirty years.

Velásquez served as a medical equipment supplier for the Venezuelan Institute of Social Security (IVSS) through Blandon Corp and MedBioSuplies SL, with offices in Caracas, Miami, and Madrid.

A person familiar with the matter has said that Velásquez may have at one time represented intense competition for Tulio Capriles Mendoza in that sector.

The link between Tulio Capriles Mendoza and OFAC

Another of the investigated relationships of Tulio Capriles is with Walter Alexander Del Nogal Márquez, designated since 2018 by the OFAC of the US Department of the Treasury, on its list of sanctioned drug traffickers.

The media know that Walter Alexander Del Nogal Márquez has his domicile and business in Madrid.

Drug trafficking is not the only activity the authorities are tracking Tulio Capriles.

Since his business start, Tulio Capriles has been persecuted for corruption.

Manases Capriles, brother of Tulio Capriles Mendoza, has also been linked to drug trafficking and money laundering activities.

Manases Capriles was identified as the author of the murder of his wife, Lorena Márquez when she threatened to report him to the police for participating in said irregularities related to drug trafficking.

As reported by El Tiempo in his 1991 article, Tulio Capriles Mendoza was aware of this alleged murder since the revelation of the activities also affected him.

The suspicions of Lorena Márquez

According to the first versions, Lorena Márquez told her mother, days before her death, that she had seen shipments of cocaine in the hands of her husband on several occasions.

And, aware of this situation was her brothers-in-law Manuel and Tulio Capriles Mendoza.

His wife had threatened to report him to the authorities for drug trafficking.

Due to requests from his wife, the couple's relationship worsened for Capriles Mendoza to stop trading and consuming drugs.
